Our mission at 1864 Candle Co. is to provide more than just premium candles—we want to create moments of pure, natural, clean-burning enjoyment.  Each of our hand-poured creations tells a story of thoughtful craftsmanship, from our carefully selected premium fragrance oils to our signature match-strike lids that bring back that nostalgic strike-and-light ritual. 

Our secret? It starts with 100% soy wax, nature's gift to candle lovers. Unlike traditional paraffin candles, our soy-based candles burn longer and cleaner, while keeping our planet in mind. They're biodegradable and carbon-neutral – because we believe luxury shouldn't come at Earth's expense.

We've obsessed over every detail. Those braided cotton wicks? They're completely free of lead and nickel.  And those unique scents you're experiencing? All our fragrance oils are of highest safety standards. These fragrances are manufactured without organ toxins, acute toxins, CMRs (carcinogens, mutagens, or reproductive toxins), phthalates, and ingredients on the California Prop 65 list. Some even feature natural essential oils, because we believe what you breathe matters.

American made is extremely important to our company. We source 100% of our soy wax from American farms. The packaging for our candles and melts is strictly made in the USA.

From our signature candles to our wax melts, non-toxic diffusers and room sprays, every product is crafted in small batches – a practice that allows us to maintain the kind of quality control that mass production simply can't match. Each candle comes with its own hand-tied set of matches, nestled against a strike plate on the lid. It's our way of ensuring you never miss a moment searching for a lighter.
